Spring Savings are in the Air at eFashionHouse.com,
Plus Site Welcomes Melie Bianco, Murval and Elaine Turner

eFashionHouse.com ushers in spring with new arrivals, savings up to 50% and adds three new handbag designers - Melie Bianco, Murval and Elaine Turner.

Sky Valley, CA (PRWEB) March 26, 2008 -- After months of winter fashion accessories, spring is finally on its way and eFashionHouse.com celebrates with savings of 25-70% on the latest trends in designer handbags. Committed to offering shoppers the best online prices for purses, eFashionHouse.com, named Best of the Web by People StyleWatch for below retail priced designer handbags and recognized by About.com as the top of three online retailers of off-priced Chanel, just added hundreds of new designer handbags from Marc Jacobs, Prada, Chanel, Gucci, Anya Hindmarch, Isabelle Fiore, Coach, Tano and many more top designers, just in time for spring. The site also added three new designer fashion brands - Melie Bianco, Murval and Elaine Turner - to its huge selection of designer handbags for even more savings.

"We are excited to add Melie Bianco, Murval and Elaine Turner handbags because the handbag demand has changed from including not only the big designer names to now welcoming other chic designers with more affordable prices," said Anna Miller, eFashionHouse Owner. "Regardless of the Economy, women still want to buy themselves a new purse, and making affordable prices available online is the purpose of eFashionHouse where you do not have to spend a fortune to carry a new quality designer handbag."

With all purses priced under $100, both Melie Bianco and Murval are known for their trendy styles and amazing prices. A favorite among fashion editors, Melie Bianco has been featured in an array of magazines, like Marie Claire, People, Cosmopolitan and Self, because it is "chic and affordable" line (prices range from $30-$75) features funky and wearable styles perfect for the trendy fashionista. Another brand that is known for offering the look of couture without the high price, French company MURVAL was created by two sisters, Muriel and Valerie, who recognized the need for fashionable accessories at accessible prices. With its bags costing less than $50, MURVAL comes out with two collections a year and despite the low price points scores high among the fashion crowd.

Though not in the under $100 category, Dallas-based fashion designer Elaine Turner is still considered a bargain since her line features the finest embossed exotic leathers and signature painted grass cloth bags. Elaine Turner quickly rose to the ranks of the fashion It Bag and the brands popularity continues to grow because of its distinct and creative approach to classic looks in handbags and accessories.

Shoppers who crave the more luxurious designer handbag names can still look forward to savings and shop for the latest trends because eFashionHouse.com has it all. Some of the featured handbag styles available at a discount are:

A Bag for Every Outfit: the Fashionista's Necessity
by OLIVIA LIGGIO

Dear friend(s),
Remember that time we went to the movie theaters and I had to stuff your bag of chips, your can of root beer and your gummy worms into my purse because you do not carry a bag? Well, I have news for you - a handbag is a necessity in every woman's life outside of the Bates bubble. A simple wristlet will not suffice as a purse to bring offcampus, and not only that, a bag is an accessory that can make an outfit even more fabulous than it hopefully already is.

The only advice I can lend you is to start your collection out with the basics. You should have a purse that is not too small, but large enough to fit the essentials and then some. A black shoulder bag is a must. There is no need to get a bag that is flashy with sparkles or one that has purse charms. Go for something that can be paired with anything.

After black, it is essential that you own a brown bag. Now, I own more purses than any normal person should, but as you are a beginner in this whole purse-world, I must not assume that you understand why brown is the perfect starter color. Brown is a good shade to pair with anything that is not black. It is perfect for warmer colors: yellow, orange, and red. If you are wearing brown shoes, you must not carry a black purse. I know, I know - you have heard that you can pull off wearing brown and black together, and you can, but accessories must always match. Black shoes and a brown bag are an absolute no. The next color you should add to your basic collection is white. A white purse for spring and summer can be paired with anything and always adds to a warm weather look.

An absolute yes is pairing black shoes with a great colored purse that goes with your outfit. Color can be fun and should definitely be the next step after your black, brown and white basics. A red purse is one you should keep your eyes out for. I am always searching for a great red bag while I'm out shopping. A bag that is unique and fun can make a world of difference on a day when you want to look exceptionally fabulous.

Now you do not need to spend a fortune on purses. One of my greatest purse finds has been this great bag from "Le Targé"… (i.e. Target). It is a slightly oversized bag that can double as a throw all as well as a cute "oh my god where did you get that purse" bag. It is so much fun to carry around and have people ask me if it is an Yves Saint Laurent or some other designer's bag and watch their face when I tell them I bought it at Target.

Do something different and find a purse that you think is really great. Match an outfit to the purse instead of making the bag go with the outfit. Reversing this dressing method really changes your outfit perspective.

Friend(s), do all of us movie-going purse-carriers a favor and buy yourself a purse or two. Or in my case, about 40.

Sincerely, Olivia

Limitless possibilities of shopping online might soon be over

Maggie Clark, aka Shopaholic

The Internet creates the idea of endless freedom and convenience for the shopping world.

Whether you are purchasing clothes, electronics or vacations the Internet allows you to comparison shop and purchase from home. However, there are purchasing restrictions that one faces while shopping on the Web.

When you buy tickets to a sporting event, concert or other high-demand event, it is common to see a restriction on the number of tickets one customer can purchase.

When shopping for tickets such as the Rockies World Series tickets, there typically is a maximum ticket per purchaser. Is this really necessary? Venue holders fear that one customer purchasing more than 10 tickets to a single event may be trying to make a profit from them. Most events have a limit of eight tickets per single purchaser; very high-demand events might have an even lower maximum buy. This is to help regulate ticket scalping.

This policy now is extending to luxury accessories.

While the Web gives the impression of endless opportunity, our weak dollar has many luxury stores feeling threatened. This is causing some stores to take precautionary measures.

High-end shoppers may be in for a surprise when they go to purchase multiple colors or styles of one designer item. The high price tag on a designer item might restrict the typical shopper to only one luxury item. However, there is a restriction that even endless money cannot bypass. Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman now have a policy that applies to designer handbags, like Prada's latest ruched nylon styles that cost $1,290, Bottega Veneta's signature woven leather hobos at $1,490 and the new rectangular Yves Saint Laurent clutch that goes for $1,395.

Do these restrictions keep the exclusiveness of the product? This might be the case but there is an ulterior motive to these policies as well. Their motivation stems back to the current status of our U.S. dollar. There is fear that foreign buyers will hoard the bags then resell them in Europe or Asia where the same items in Prada and Gucci stores typically cost 20 percent to 40 percent more. The popular Yves Saint Laurent Downtown bag, which is restricted to three per customer at Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman, costs roughly $300 less (900 pounds) at Harvey Nichols in London.

While foreign shoppers warmly were welcomed by many retailers last month, it is a slightly different story for luxury stores. Gucci and Prada have spent the last decade trying to reach those customers in their own countries by opening expensive new shops throughout Asia and Europe. An online researcher searching for a high-end bargain might be costing these select stores.

For now, the policies at Saks, Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman apply to online sales only of handbags and shoes. Many foreign shoppers were boarding planes to the United States with the intent to bargain shop less than one month ago. This may result in these policies losing 100 percent effectiveness.

Maggie Clark, aka Shopaholic, is a Coloradoan advertising sales executive. She does not write about her clients. She never met a bargain she could pass up and she always can find room in her closet for another pair of shoes.

The Soft Smooth Lambskin Leather Clutch is a mid-range handbag that is a beautifully appointed black leather bag. This handbag has a price tag of $1,145. The Small Quilted Lambskin Camelia Handbag costs a few hundred dollar more, and is just as attractive.

Other lambskin handbags are available in a variety of colors and styles. Online stores market a wide range of Chanel handbags, with one of the most expensive pegged at $3,400. Chanel hand bags are one of the most often duplicated in the world. Undoubtedly, Chanel, as one of the most important and longest lasting design houses in the world, produces a desirable commodity. This means that everyone wants to get in on the money by selling cheap knockoffs that are often discernible from the original. Be sure that you buy your Chanel handbag from a reputable dealer so that you don’t pay a lot of money for a bag that is not an authentic Chanel.

5 Advantages to an Online Shopping Mall

Experts agree that shoppers will spend an unprecedented amount of money buying gifts online this holiday season. Just as "big box" stores draw an inordinate number of shoppers, so does the online shopping mall. Here are five reasons why an online shopping mall is so appealing to many:

1. No More Driving
With gas prices in some areas of California inching toward five dollars a gallon, it's no wonder that people are thinking twice about getting into their SUVs and heading to the stores. An online shopping mall allows you to get all of the gifts you need with a few clicks of your mouse - without ever starting up the engine.

2. Ultimate Convenience
With an online shopping mall, you never have to worry about the crowds on a Saturday morning, gunning for a parking spot, or where you're going to leave the kids so you can buy their holiday gifts. By definition, an online store is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can shop after the kids have gone to bed, you can shop in your pajamas and bunny slippers, or you can shop at peak times with the knowledge that you're not standing in line at a checkout counter. It can't get more convenient than that!

3. Freedom to Browse
Perhaps you know precisely what you need, or maybe you're looking for inspiration. Either way, an online shopping mall fits the bill. If you know that Aunt Mary loves certain fragrances, for example, you can easily hone in on the perfect gift. On the other hand, if you're unsure what toys would appeal to your nephew, an online shopping mall lets you browse to your heart's content until you find the toy that will delight him.

4. Endless Selection
A great online shopping mall mirrors the best brick-and-mortar mall in that it has a virtually limitless selection - without having to traipse from store to store with armloads of packages. Apparel, auto parts, cell phones, computers, personal electronics, home and garden gifts, jewelry, sports, and toys are all available at a good online mall. Tens of thousands of items are all at your fingertips.

5. Great Prices
An online shopping mall has many advantages over a traditional mall, but perhaps none is more compelling than the pricing. After all, online stores don't have the overhead expenses of brick-and-mortar stores - like rent, utilities, display, sales clerks, and so forth - so they can pass along the savings to you. For that reason, they can offer products at or sometimes below wholesale prices.
If you're an avid online shopper, you'll undoubtedly do much of your holiday shopping online. Rather than shop from several online sources, you'll find it much easier to track your purchases when you make them at one online shopping mall. So put the kids to bed, put on your bunny slippers, and let your fingers do the clicking!

Shoppers Leave Malls for Mice

Burlington, Vermont - November 26, 2007
It's one way to avoid the lines this shopping season-- and more and more people are doing it. "You don't have to go out, and you can get it done in a few minutes, instead of hours," says online shopper Sarah McNulty. Shopping online for your holiday gifts is fast becoming the easy way to pick up those hard to find items for the people on your list. The Monday after Thanksgiving traditionally kicks off the online retail season-- the online equivalent of Black Friday.

"Cyber Monday is an event that really started two years ago when online retailers noticed that there was a significant amount of shopping activity when people would return to work after the Thanksgiving holidays," explains Tasha Wallis of the Vt. Retail Association. And despite the fact that many retailers say Cyber Monday is just a product of media hype, many stores are still expecting to see a lot of online sales this holiday season. And it's not just big name box stores that expect to reap the benefits of the online holiday season. Many local shops are online too, hoping consumer dollars flow through the wires into business bank accounts.

"That's our biggest season of the year. We will probably do about 40 percent of our total online sales in the month of December alone, so it's a really important time of year for us," says Allyson Myers of Lake Champlain Chocolates. And it's working. According to the National Retail Federation, an estimated 50 percent of Americans went online Monday to shop for holiday gifts-- up almost 20 percent from last year. Shopping online has become the quick, efficient and easy way to shop.

"They have a lot of coupons, like online coupons-- they just have a lot more deals online than in the stores. I don't have to deal with large crowds," explains online shopper Nicole Pickering. Dayna Slocombe was online to help other people shop: "Well, actually it wasn't my shopping. It was more my Christmas list to have people buy things for me, and it just seems to be easier to kind of copy and paste the link to document, have somebody else look online for you." "I really don't like to shop. I don't like to get out into the crowds, that sort of thing. And I can usually find better prices, and it's more convenient," says Brian Holmes who shops online.
It's holiday happiness made easy with the click of a mouse.

The do good factor

The demand for products that give a bit back is rising

Claudia Croft
How does a cult Mulberry Roxanne bag made of canvas and costing less than £100 grab you? Can you imagine the envy this limited-edition beauty would elicit if it were swinging from your arm? And the corresponding smugness, as you reminded yourself it cost you a sixth of the price of a leather Roxanne? But let’s suppress that competitive fashion spirit for a moment, because this is more than just a trendy tote. This little It bag could save someone’s life. If you buy one, 50% of your money will go to the (RED) initiative, the Bono-backed scheme to raise money for antiretroviral drugs and HIV/Aids charities in Africa.

It’s just one of several edgy, fashion-led (RED) pieces that will be on sale in Gap stores this Christmas. Among the others are a kooky Giles T-shirt, pointy patent pumps by the shoe maestro Pierre Hardy, printed tops by Henry Holland and Proenza Schouler, and a traditional fishing hat from the catwalk milliner Stephen Jones. Gap’s (RED) range was the idea of its European supremo, Steve Sunnucks, and the Pop magazine editor and superstylist Katie Grand, who asked her favourite fashion friends to come up with a special piece for the charity. Forget hair shirts – charity fashion never looked so good.

For Grand, though, the desirability of the Gap (RED) range is just a happy byproduct. “It was about the cause more than anything,” she says. “In the early 1990s, when I first moved to London to go to St Martins, I lived in a house with seven men, five of whom contracted HIV. They are all still alive now, thanks to the advances in antiretroviral drugs.” Some weren’t so lucky. “Three people on my course died of Aids. At one point, it was a weekly occurrence for someone to announce that they were HIV-positive.”

From Bill Clinton’s bestselling book, Giving, to Oxfam’s Unwrapped campaign (where the likes of Helena Bonham Carter and Helen Mirren urge you to give a loo, some compost or a box of condoms;
www.oxfam.org.uk), it has never been more fashionable to do your bit for charity. And, as the founders of the (RED) initiative (which has raised £24.3m in 18 months) know, what better way to give than to buy? Increasingly, consumers are demanding designer objects that have the “do-good” factor, be it T-shirts to help cure cancer, jeans that put children through school or a bag that delays the onset of Aids in HIV patients.

Grand is not the only one putting a gloss on giving. For the second year running, Gucci has joined forces with Unicef to produce a special range of bags and shoes. The Burberry designer Christopher Bailey has produced T-shirts to raise money for victims of the summer floods. Thierry Henry has teamed up with Tommy Hilfiger to produce a credible menswear range that goes way beyond boring basics. All the profits go to Henry’s One 4 All Foundation, which combats racism and social inequality. The hip LA brand Omni Peace gives 50% of its profits to poverty-busting projects in sub-Saharan Africa. Elsewhere, George Bush’s niece, Lauren Bush, has joined forces with the UN World Food Programme to launch the Feed bag – you buy a natty shopper and a child in need receives school lunches for a year.

It doesn’t stop at fashion. Selfridges is stocking Amnesty International Christmas gift packs (a CD of John Lennon cover versions, plus a T-shirt). For £9.99, you can buy a plate designed by Coldplay to raise money for WaterAid. There’s even a charity vodka, produced by Grey Goose, in a bottle designed by Giorgio Armani. It is sold exclusively in Harvey Nichols and proceeds go to the Elton John Aids Foundation.

Who would have thought it? It seems shopping is now the balm that heals everything. (RED) products available from Gap from Dec 1;

Cyber Monday lures bargain hunters and slackers

from tricities
If you’re looking for a deal on your favorite video games, electronics, furniture and clothing you probably should be looking online today.

Promotional deals are bouncing into email “in” boxes and blinking banners across the internet. Toys R Us, Circuit City,
Walmart, Target , and Sears are among those offering special deals. These range from free shipping to weeklong online exclusive offers.

Cyber Monday sales are up 42 percent from 2005 according to the National Retail Federation. This year 72 percent of retailers are planning special online deals to lure bargain hunters fishing around after Black Friday. Much like Black Friday, Cyber Monday is considered the unofficial kick off for holiday online shopping.

Consumers looking to shop from home and work are banking on big bargains today. The NRF expects 72 million shoppers to search the web for post-Thanksgiving deals. But the online shopping rush may place some workers jobs on the line.

According to a BIGresearch survey, 61-million Americans plan to shop online from work during the holiday season. Chicago based consulting firm Challenger, Gray, and Christmas says bosses should brace for less productive workers around the office. Breaking and buying could leave a half a billion dollar ($488 million) deficit in worker productivity.

Online holiday shopping season kicks off

By ANNE D'INNOCENZIO, AP Business Writer Mon Nov 26, 7:50 AM ET

NEW YORK - Retailers are hoping last week's strong start to the holiday shopping season at malls and stores translates into a busy buying season online, which officially begins Monday. The Monday after Thanksgiving, tagged "Cyber Monday" by the National Retail Federation, marks the first big online shopping surge for many merchants as consumers return to their work computers.

A number of retailers are hosting one-day sales or special offers for the occasion. Internet research firm comScore Inc. estimated online sales may exceed $700 million online on Monday.
As for brick-and-mortar outlets, ShopperTrak RCT Corp., which tracks total sales at more than 50,000 retail outlets, reported late Sunday that sales on Friday and Saturday combined rose 7.2 percent to $16.4 billion from the same two-day period a year ago.

The biggest draw was electronics, benefiting chains like Best Buy Co. and discounters such as Walmart and Target. Popular-priced department stores including J.C. Penney Co. and Kohl's Corp. drew in crowds with good deals.

Toy stores like Toys "R" Us Inc. fared well too. Still, apparel sales appeared to be mixed at mall-based clothing stores, though a cold weather snap helped spur sales of outerwear and other winter-related items. "This was a really good start," said Bill Martin, co-founder of ShopperTrak. "There seemed to be a lot of pent-up demand." Now the attention moves online. Toys "R" Us Inc. will hold a one-day online sale and rival eToys.com will launch a two-day sale. Walmart Inc. will begin five days of online-only sales.

Online jeweler Bluenile Inc. will give customers 20 percent off purchases paid through PayPal, eBay! Inc.'s electronic payment division. Target Corp., Circuit City Stores Inc., Sears Holdings Corp., Crate & Barrel, the Discovery Store and Overstock Inc. are among dozens of retailers offering free shipping that day.

"The online community is getting more competitive as the amount of new customers slows," according to Scott Silverman, executive director of Shop.org, an online arm of the National Retail Federation. "Add to that the concerns about the economy, and promotions and sales provide a great way to get people excited."

Silverman said the number of retailers offering free shipping with no conditions, such as a minimum purchase, has jumped to 41.4 percent from 36 percent last year. Nearly one-third of retailers are also having special one-day sales for Cyber Monday. Forty-two percent plan some kind of promotion, according to the NRF's annual survey.

In fact, the number of retailers hosting online deals on the Monday after Thanksgiving has surged to 72 percent of those polled from 42 percent just two years ago. Despite a decent showing, many shoppers interviewed said they planned to curb their spending. Earl Lee, a mechanic from Live Oak, Fla., who was shopping in Tallahassee, said that he was planning on spending less this holiday season.

"Gas prices, everything's so high," he added.John Muller, of Clifton, N.J., who was standing outside Macy's Herald Square in Manhattan on Sunday, said he plans to spend only about $500 this year, half as much as a year ago, because of higher expenses and worries about the economy. This year, "we are mostly buying for the kids," said Muller, who has two children, ages 3 and 7.

Online Shopping Brokers: Holiday Discount Bargains

Online shopping brokers is like going to the mall without all the traffic, people, lines and mess. If you are a bargain hunter and want to shop several different stores, but don't necessarily know which stores, you can easily find store information at ShoppingBrokers.com.

Online shopping brokers brings a comprehensive list of online stores to your fingertips. You can use a Search function for what you are looking for, and you can refer to an A-Z Directory of online shopping resources.

Every store listed at ShoppingBrokers.com will have Holiday Discounts & Bargains for shopping online this season. Many of the online stores offer free shipping and no sales tax. Plus, shopping from the convenience of your home or office is the best payoff of all!

The last time I drove to the mall to shop, I couldn't find a parking place. It took me over 30 minutes to finally squeeze my VW Beetle into a space next to a dumpster in the north forty! After walking until my legs ached, with my arms and shoulders full, I finally gave up and dragged myself back to the car, stuffed everything inside and drove home. I was exhausted.

Today, I decided to write about this little Holiday Shopping experience on a blog designed to eliminate the pain and suffering of holiday mall shopping. The online shopping brokers listed here solved all my holiday shopping needs.

At eFashionHouse.com I found the Chanel handbag of my dreams at 30% off the cost of retail. Most malls don't carry Chanel purses and accessories. Now, I can find all the authentic Chanel products I want in one handy online store called BrandsBoutique. The Chanel bag is being delivered to my door by Fedex at no cost and I paid no sales tax. I saved enough money on shipping and tax at eFashionHouse to pay for two more gifts.
eFashionHouse.com has a huge Sale and Clearance section. Unlike most of the other websites, eFashionHouse offers deeper discounts when shopping the Sale and Clearance sections of the site. Save these codes: OFF10 is for an extra 10% off all Sale items. OFF20 is for an extra 20% off all Final Clearance items.

My sister and niece want me to get them Tano Handbags this year. I found two perfect Tano Handbags online, received free shipping and paid no sales tax. The Tano Handbag Boogie Bucket style 9897 is an ideal purchase, one of the most popular Tano handbag styles and is under $200. It's availabe in 10 colors and is a great bargain online.

After all the women's gifts were purchased at eFashionHouse.com, I decided to look at Jos. A. Banks for some of the guys. Most of the men like new clothes for work. We found an array of office casual clothing at Jos. A. Banks (josbank) at great Holiday Discount Prices.

My husband wants a new computer. CompUSA offers holiday shoppers an assortment of rebates and deep discounts online. Plus, some of the items are available for free shipping. I'll stay with CompUSA this year for our tech needs. My son loves gadgets. I think CompUSA will have exactly what he wants and the entire purchase will be made with a click of the mouse from the comforts of home!

Many of our family members live in other parts of the country. We repeatedly resort to FTD Flowers for many of our brothers and their families. FTD Flowers is available throughout the world and are reliable consistently dependable for shopping online during the holidays. They are great for birthdays, too.

Young women fashionista types love new clothes. An online favorite is ShopBop.com for very cool contemporary clothes and zappos.com for designer shoes. Both ShopBop and zappos offer an extensive list of designer merchandise. ShopBop has hundreds of main stream and unique designers. zappos is the Internet's largest shoe store and offers free shipping. Both ShopBop and zappos offer no sales tax to many USA States.

Deigner handbags, wallets and designer accessories are found at eFashionHouse.com. eFashionHouse has five online stores packed with fashion accessories sold below the cost of retail. The five stores include ValueBags, ItalysOutlet, BrandsBoutique, LuxuryVintage and DesignersLA. Each eFashionHouse online shop carries products appropriate to the shop's name. ValueBags sells low priced deigner fashion from famous names like Ralph Lauren, Liz Claiborne and Tano. If you are in the market for purses this year, make sure to shop all the bargains found at eFashionHouse.com.

Online shopping brokers is a place where holiday shoppers can find gifts at reasonable prices from all their favorite stores without leaving the house. If you enjoy the crowded malls and need to get into the holiday spirit, visit your local Macy's or Sears . There's always fun at Macy's and Sears during the holiday season. Then, when you get home, sit in your comfortable chair, turn the power on your computer, and let your fingers do the rest of the shopping for you!

ShoppingBrokers.com was designed to make bargain hunting online a breeze this holiday season. Using a convenient "search" function or referring to the A-Z Directory of Online Shopping Broker stores, you'll surely find everything you need at the best prices, free shipping and no sales tax, too!

Online shopping to kick into high gear

72 percent of Internet retailers plan to offer deals, survey says.
By Kristin McAllister
Black Friday sales account for about 15 percent annually of the country's total economy, but Cyber Monday is fast becoming a vital part of the high-octane holiday shopping weekend, according to online retail analysts.Independent technology and market research company Forrester Research Inc. anticipates online sales this holiday season to reach $33 billion, a 21 percent increase over last year and 12.3 percent of all Internet holiday shopping sales.
The online holiday shopping season kicks off every year during the Monday following Thanksgiving and continues to climb for three weeks until it peaks, usually mid-December. The National Retail Federation reports that 58.5 percent of consumers do their holiday shopping online to avoid crowded retailers."Clearly, more and more households own personal computers and, therefore, are involved in getting on the Internet and, consequently, doing business and buying things," said Jim Munch, Wright State University marketing department chairman. "And the challenge of higher oil prices is undoubtedly encouraging more of us to shop from home."
Recognizing that growing consumer market, 72 percent of online retailers will offer special deals on Cyber Monday, up from 43 percent two years ago, according to a new survey by Shop.org, an online retailers association. And a survey of 5,000 U.S. households this month by the Conference Board Consumer Research Center found that 38 percent of respondents who last year purchased Christmas gifts online were satisfied with their buying experience. "Consumers are ... willing to spend more than last year, though retailers can still expect a fair share of bargain hunters will be lining up for the traditional kickoff this Friday," said Lynn Franco, center director.

And while the office supply industry, such as Staples, Office Depot and Office Max, in 2006 was a $250 billion industry, it only had 12 percent total sales from online shopping. That's about to change, retail analysts say. Industry experts now project that within three years, online sales will account for 50 percent of the office supply products industry's total sales.
